I have high-functioning autism , which affects areas of my life that make it harder for me to navigate things independently or as easily as others, along with other neurological disorders. Major life activities, like traveling alone, communication, and dealing with sensory overload, make being independent really challenging. I rely on a lot of support systems to help things work for me, like programs designed for people with disabilities like mine. I’ve made a lot of progress, but I still need some hand-holding and cannot make it out on my own in the world.

hi! you can call me sweets or ellen. i’m a disabled cosplayer, artist (sometimes—been drawing since i was a toddler), jrpg enthusiast, gamer, cook, and aspiring engineer.in my free time, i handle all the chores at home and enjoy cooking and meal planning for my dad. i also love spending time with family, like going to antique shops with my grandparents or playing pokemon go with my mom.i’m currently unemployed and have never worked before, but i try to make good use of my time. i post about the things i love, talk about my neurodivergence, connect with others in the community, and contribute through my cosplay. i’ve also made a few videos (compiled on my youtube @ Ellen Zappa) sharing my thoughts on futaba, like why i think she’s great autism representation, and showing off my figure collection!right now, i’m studying math through khan academy and have a comptia a+ bootcamp starting next year. i also completed a job program as part of my disability benefits, which has given me access to resources like paid college when i’m ready and free driver’s ed.i’ve always loved two things—computers and space—so i’d love to work in engineering, whether it’s aerospace or software. i’m still figuring things out, but i’m taking my time and enjoying life along the way.
